Entity description and role in FUEL4ME

IDConsortium is a Spanish private consultancy for the integrated management, dissemination and exploitation of R&D and innovation projects carried out by of all types of private companies, as well as regional, national and European organizations.
Its performance is mainly based upon 4 strategic lines:

1. R+D+i internationalization by means of the creation and subsequent dynamic process of European consortia with a high presence of Spanish companies in order to develop R+D+i activities.

2. The collaboration in the design and planning of research projects development and innovation, from the preparatory stage to the implementation itself.

3. The management of the dissemination and exploitation of results in R&D projects.

4. The management of financing lines other than the traditional.

IDConsortium is leading the activities related to the communication, dissemination and exploitation of FUEL4ME project results.

JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH, one of the largest nonuniversity research institutions in Austria, is employing around 430 highly qualified staff members thematically structured in 5 research institutes. The research group Energy Research at the Institute for Water, Energy and Sustainability contains four fields of activity: Renewable Energy Technologies; Energy Systems and Strategies; Energy, Land use and Climate Change, acceptability and sustainable implementation of energy technologies and – systems. Using energy wisely - both on a small and large scale - is the key focus of the research group Energy Research. Therefore, the long-term energy management and policy is based on reducing specific energy demand and increasing the use of renewable energy sources. Sustainability assessment including environmental analyses especially life cycle analyses, economic analyses, socio-economic and social analyses of energy technologies and energy systems is a focus of the research group.
Joanneum is performing the sustainability assessment of FUEL4ME project (WP5), as well participating in the activities of communication and dissemination of the project results (WP6)

Entity description and role in FUEL4ME

FeyeCon D&I BV is a research performing SME established in 1992 as a spin-off company from Delft Technical University. The company is, among other things, dedicated in creating new innovative products and processes in the field of product extraction from algae. Today Feyecon manages more than ten business ventures worldwide.
FeyeCon has largely demonstrated experience in the development of products and processes based on compressed CO2. The CO2 technology has been applied to diverse processes, such as the extraction of natural products, the precipitation of proteins, the production of polymer foams, and their products are used in the pharmaceutical and food industry.
Feyecon is participating in WP3, WP4, WP5 & WP6, perfoming tasks addressing lipid extraction and fractionation, data input for sustainability assessment, and dissemination and exploitation.

Entity description and role in FUEL4ME


Neste Oil is a refining and marketing company, with a production focus on premium-quality,lower-emission traffic fuels. The company has operations in 15 countries. Its growth strategy is focused on producing premium quality renewable diesel fuel. Currently four refineries are producing renewable diesel with a capacity of about 2 million tons per year (Finland 380 000 t/a; Singapore 800 000 t/a and Rotterdam 800 000 t/a). Neste Oil is committed to world-class operational and financial performance, and all its operations are driven by four core values: responsibility, cooperation, innovation, and excellence.
Neste Oil is involved in FUEL4ME WP3, WP4, WP5 and WP6, carrying out activities related to the estimation of the oil quality to the hydrotreatment process, conversion of lipids into renewable diesel, data input for sustainability assessment, and dissemination and exploitation.

Pursuit Dynamics Plc (PDX) is a UK and Switzerland based company that develops and provides innovative techniques and energy efficient solutions for various industrial applications through its proprietary fluid processing Reactor and atomising technologies. Since 2001, PDX’s multidisciplinary science and technology team has been involved in developing integrated fluid processing solutions to a range of industries, including biofuels and other renewable energy related industries.

PDX is involved in WP3, WP4, WP5 & WP6, undertaking activities related to the application of PDX Reactor technology and other fluid processing expertise for developing disruption solutions for lipid production and providing upscaling and technology commercialisation expertise, data input for sustainability assessment, and dissemination and exploitation.
